Marubi as "writer"
Ardian Ndreca
The art of photography has a dual significance; on one hand, it reveals a special “narrative strategy” that uses light, and on the other hand, it activates the writing of the city through the enlivening of our imagination. Marubi's photography recovers an additional dimension that the writer cannot narrate so directly with the tools at their disposal. The activation of this macrotextual level causes the photographic artist to become a “sui generis” writer, and their narrative to encompass persuasive forms and intimate depth even after many decades.
