When you are browsing our website
We collect data using Google Analytics that tracks the behavior of our visitors to our website which provides insight into ways we can improve the usability of our website. This information is also used to regenerate advertising campaigns on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Vimeo) and Google (Display Network, Search, etc.) and is used for internal reporting purposes. In order to subscribe to our email list, you must provide your email address, first name, last name, city, country of residence and telephone number. By registering, such as through the website of the MKFM, during the activities or during the visit to the museum, we record your data after your confirmation before adding you to our e-mail list. You can set your preference for emails in English or Albanian. You can also unsubscribe at any time. The option to do this is at the bottom of every email you receive from us. By unsubscribing, you withdraw information only for the specific email list you subscribed to. Buying tickets online
During the online ticket purchase process, you may be asked to provide more information including your name, email, billing address and payment information. Myticket.al is not managed by MKFM, but like any external partner involved, they operate in compliance with the GDPR. Purchase details will remain stored and centralized in their CRM and CMS system.

Delivery of materials to MKFM
When you send us materials for exhibitions or similar activities, you will be asked for information about the content and authorship of the material. MKFM will retain your materials for research purposes and will occasionally remove materials from the database. In case your work submission is not relevant or out of date for consideration by MKFM, do not contact us for a replacement, but send your latest relevant work to be reviewed by us.

Visit to the exhibition spaces
When you visit the National Museum of Photography "Marubi" or other places where MKFM may hold events, your image may be used for promotional purposes. In the event that you find yourself included in photographs against your will, you may request their removal by using our email communication method. MKFM will withdraw the publication of that image and confirm the removal of the original file for future use.

What do we use your personal data for?

MKFM mainly uses email as the main method of communication. As standard, we send out a regular newsletter which usually contains information about our current and upcoming exhibitions, talks and events. The content and layout of our emails may change and you are welcome to update your preferences or unsubscribe altogether at any time.

Our website collects some anonymous information about you automatically as you navigate through the site. This information is used to help us monitor how you and other visitors use the site, allowing us to provide an improved service across the site.

The CCTV security system at MKFM has been installed for the safety of visitors and the safety of exhibited works. Footage is retained and stored for 28 working days and then automatically deleted from the system, unless the footage is required for evidentiary purposes. In this case, it is possible for MKFM to make the footage available to authorities such as the state police. The people involved will be informed immediately by MKFM regarding the procedure.
