Venus!

DJ_balerinat_2.jpg

This exhibition showcases an extensive research in the collections of Dedë Jakova, Gegë Marubi and Pjetër Rraboshta. The selection of images and its conceptual framework follow the traces of a sculpture that weaves through the repertoire of all three authors, becoming the narrative thread of the history of a house and a courtyard where significant events unfolded and, later, irreversible transformations occurred.

As one transitions into the next exhibition space, the "silent" metaphysics of the courtyard emerges: its geometry and perspective, the dialogue between a body and a statue, upon which light casts shadows in the same way.

There stands Venus—the goddess of love and an embodiment of perfect, ideal beauty—who, amidst all these events, seems to always be gazing at something beyond.
