Kub France Shkodra
Kub France Shkodra is a cultural and digital space established as part of the KitKubiK strategic project, an initiative led by KubFranceTirana, an operator of the Embassy of France in Albania, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport and the National Museum of Photography “Marubi”.
Conceived as a platform for education, exploration and engagement with art and cultural heritage through digital technologies, Kub France Shkodër offers two main experiences: Micro-Folie, a digital museum providing access to more than 3,200 artworks from 205 international cultural institutions, including the Musée du Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, Centre Pompidou and Château de Versailles, as well as Virtual Reality (VR) experiences exploring French art and culture, developed in collaboration with the Institut français in Paris.
Beyond presenting digital cultural content, Kub France Shkodër is intended to function as an active space for education and engagement, serving children and young people, students, the Francophone community and the wider public. Through educational programmes, workshops and activities combining technology and digital creativity, the space promotes engagement with art and cultural heritage, the development of new skills, and intercultural dialogue.
Located within the Marubi Museum, Kub France Shkodër creates a meeting point between cultural heritage, art, technology and education, expanding opportunities for audiences to experience and interpret culture through contemporary tools and formats.
